Since 1996, Grounds for Health has worked in Latin America and Africa to address one of the most significant disparities in women’s health globally.
Cervical cancer is a nearly 100% treatable disease, and yet in the next 15 years it is expected to kill six million women – 90% of whom will live in developing countries.
Grounds for Health specializes in working in communities that represent the base of global supply chains such as coffee, tea, cut flowers and cocoa.
To date, Grounds for Health has treated 7,851 women and screened 100,886.
Club Coffee has supported Grounds for Health declaring 2019 as the Year of Giving. In a recent LinkedIn post, Grounds for Health posted:
“Club Coffee declared 2019 as their Year of Giving, and we benefited from a donation that’s allowed us to run multiple campaigns in Ethiopia and Kenya, training health workers to help women in need of our cervical pre-cancer screening and prevention services. Thank you from everyone on our team, including the field staff and volunteers in Kenya!”
